Privacy Policy

Exchange Flag Game does not collect, transmit or store any personal data on our servers. There are no servers. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics and no advertising. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone, and — if you use iCloud — in your own private iCloud account, which we cannot read.

What is stored on your device

The following is saved locally on your iPhone:

• The people you add: name or nickname, the country they are from, and any optional details you choose to fill in — city, where you met, dates, languages, notes
• Medals and their private notes, if you use that feature
• Your preferences: theme, appearance, map style, flag style, and whether medals are locked behind Face ID

iCloud

If you are signed in to iCloud, your collection is backed up to your own private iCloud container so it survives a new phone. This uses Apple's CloudKit. The data goes to your Apple account, not to us — we have no ability to read, export or recover it. If you turn iCloud off for this app, everything continues to work and stays on the device.

Face ID

If you turn on the medal lock, the app asks iOS to verify you with Face ID or your passcode. iOS answers only yes or no. The app never receives, sees or stores your face data or your passcode.

What is not collected

• No name, email address or account of any kind
• No location data — the app never asks for your location
• No contacts, photos, microphone or camera access
• No advertising identifiers (IDFA)
• No tracking across other apps or websites
• No third-party analytics, crash reporting or advertising SDKs

Network connections

The app makes only two kinds of network request, both to Apple:

• Apple Maps, to load map tiles when you use the flat map. Apple's own privacy policy covers this. The app also includes an offline map that works with no connection at all.
• The App Store, to check your subscription status and process purchases. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.

Subscriptions

Exchange Flag Game offers an optional subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment information — only whether an anonymous subscription is currently active on the device.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.

Notifications

If you start a free trial, the app schedules one local reminder two days before it ends, so you are never charged by surprise. It is scheduled by iOS on your device — no notification is sent from a server, and no notification data leaves your phone. Permission is only requested at the moment a trial actually starts, and you can decline.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device. If iCloud is on, your collection also lives in your own private iCloud container: turn off Flag Game under iOS Settings → your name → iCloud to stop syncing, and Apple's own controls let you delete that data. There is no copy anywhere we can see or reach, so there is nothing further to request from us.

Your data is yours

Settings → Your data lets you export everything as JSON or CSV at any time, and delete everything permanently. Deleting the app also removes all local data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
